2024 ACC Swimming and Diving Championships
Virginia Tech's women's team achieved the NCAA “A” standard in the 200-meter medley relay during Thursday's time trial, securing a berth to the 2024 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships in March.

In the regular event the day before, the same relay placed 6th with a time of 1 minute 29.18 seconds, which is the new “B” standard time. Her leadoff Wyler fell behind in the time trial, but her teammates picked her up on her final three legs and easily beat her previous best.

The swim also broke the old school record of 1:29.29, set in 2009.
Having reached the “A” standard, the relay will be eligible to swim at the NCAA Championships. If the Hokies also have her individual qualifiers to the NCAAs (which is very likely), the team would also be eligible to swim the “B” standard relay.

- Guy Brooks The South African sophomore from Louisville swam 1:33.64 in the 200 free time trial. It took him 1:32.85 to qualify for the NCAAs last season, but he ultimately cleared it in 1:32.49 at the Last Chance Meet. He will have to try his last chance this season.
- North Carolina State University Freshman hudson williamsAlthough he has yet to score in the ACC, he swam a career-best 19.32 points in the 50 free time trial. This is better than the 19.78 seconds he swam in qualifying for the regular competition. He was 19.55 years old in high school.
- On Thursday, Pitt's boys swam a time of 1:23.92 in the 200-meter medley relay time trial, bettering the 1:24.05 that placed them seventh in the regular meet, but still one minute short of the “A” cut.
