Schenectady, New York – Union College will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the 2014 Division I Men's Hockey National Championship on Saturday, July 20, 2024, with multiple events planned in the Capital District.
“We are thrilled to welcome the entire 2013-14 national championship team to Schenectady this summer and celebrate their accomplishments with members of our campus and the greater Schenectady community,” said Director of Athletics Jim.・McLaughlin '93 said. “We are thrilled to be able to offer them the opportunity to reunite with their teammates, alumni and friends of the program, and everyone who cheered them on to achieve incredible success 10 years ago. looking forward to it.”
On Saturday morning, Union Hockey will host the annual Mort Silver '55 and Garnet Blaze Golf Tournament at Eagle Crest Golf Club at Clifton Park. Later that afternoon, fans will be invited to join a community celebration of the 2014 National Championship win at Mohawk Harbor just before the start of the annual Harbor Jam event. Highlights of the title game will be shown on a large screen outside, several team members will be available to sign autographs, and music and food trucks will prepare fans for Saturday's Harbor Jam event starting at 6 p.m. The event, which begins Saturday, will be held at Mohawk Harbor. Free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
