Five people were shot outside Meadow View Apartments on Memorial Day, according to Sacramento police.
All five are expected to survive.
First, breaking news. Breaking news out of Sacramento. Five people, including a teenager, were injured in a shooting. I heard police radio traffic from that moment. Here's the call. Very big news. They're trying to figure out who was shot on 415th Street. Right now, there are five total victims, one woman arrested, all male, one female, four males, two females, two females, three males. Police are currently trying to figure out who fired the shots. This happened in the area of Coral Gables Court and Meadowview Road. KCRA 3's Lee Ann Denier is reporting from the scene right now. She's been on the scene for hours and gathering more information. So, Lee Ann, what's the latest? Sacramento Police Department. Yeah, thankfully, the latest we're getting from the Sacramento Police Department is that all five are in stable condition and are expected to survive. But the last time we saw them, it was 10:30 across from my 58, but the difference is this tow truck has arrived. Apparently they're preparing to tow this silver sedan out of the area from the courthouse here. This is the first time we've been able to get this close to where the police are investigating. I want to show you a video from earlier this evening. This call came in around 8 o'clock tonight, and then over the next few hours there was a very large police presence. At this time, there are only three or four officers here, excuse me, and a police patrol vehicle. Well, of course, there was a much larger scene earlier today. Police are saying they don't know what happened prior to this shooting. They don't know how these people met. But the latest information we've received is that they're going to be OK physically. I just had the opportunity to speak with the police spokesperson a little bit. Listen. It's a very large complex. Our key message is that if anyone saw or heard anything, please let us know and help us find the person responsible for this incident. There were many people involved in the shooting, and we don't know all of the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and what led up to it. But there are many people injured. We need to make sure they get justice tonight. Women. So I want to bring you back to the live coverage here. We're in this courtroom, there's a little bit of movement, some people coming in and out. We still have a few officers there, helping move this case along. Uh, we're also hearing that these five people, three men, two women, one of them, a woman, a teenager, they're OK. They're in stable condition. But at this time, Sacramento Police say they don't have any suspect information. The investigation will continue. But the crime scene tape is pretty much lifted and the last officers are wrapping up their investigation here tonight. Lee Ann Denier from Sacramento at KCRA Three News has told us that we'll have updates as soon as we get them. Yeah, as details start coming in from investigators, sometimes days, weeks after the fact, we know about it.
