There will be a change in leadership for Notre Dame Academy's women's soccer program.
Brian Wooste, who served as head coach for the 2023 season, will swap titles with assistant coach Corey Dunn and take over as head coach of the program. Ooste will remain with the Pandas as an assistant coach.
Dunn has more than 30 years of experience, according to an NDA release. He has coached at clubs such as the Kings Hammer, Tennessee Soccer Club and Soccer United. “His dedication to player development and creating a positive team environment aligns perfectly with NDA's commitment to excellence on and off the field,” according to the release.
He holds the USSF National “C” License in Coaching and other national certifications. He was also a player in the University of Cincinnati's club program.
“I am truly grateful to have been named (head coach),” Dunn said in the release. “I have been immersed in the game over the past 30 years as a player, referee, spectator, administrator and coach. Now, a new chapter begins here at NDA.
“My staff and I are excited to get ready for the upcoming season. There is a lot to learn about the high school game, but my main goal is to help our staff and players grow together. It’s about creating an environment where you can achieve your goals.”
Ooste was appointed head coach on May 25, 2023, following the resignation of Sri Kaid. Wooste was an assistant coach at NDA for five seasons prior to that, leading the Pandas to the Region 9 championship and state semifinals.
