Olivia Mauch #12 BeachVB vs Southwest Baptist
The Nebraska beach volleyball team defeated Southwest Baptist on Tuesday in its final home game of the season at the Hawks Championship Center.
The Huskers won all five games in straight sets and finished the home portion of their schedule with a 6-0 record. The Huskers are 27-0 at home since the program was founded in 2013.
Lindsey Krause and Lexi Rodriguez started the day as the No. 1 pair with a 21-14, 21-11 win. Allies Battenhorst and Bergen Riley won 21-18, 21-18. Laney Choboy and Harper Murray scored the third point for a 21-15, 21-9 win. Merritt Beeson and Skylar Pierce were the No. 4 pair and won 21-7, 21-7. Andy Jackson and Olivia Mauch won the fifth game, completing the sweep 21-15, 21-18. NU's exhibition team of Maisie Borsiger and Kayla Kenney lost in three sets, 21-17, 16-21, 4-15.
NU will be on the road for the first time this season, playing five games this weekend at the Tiger Beach Challenge in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Nebraska will play Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Saturday at 8 a.m., North Alabama on Saturday at 1 p.m. and No. 7 LSU on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The Huskers close out the weekend with two games on Sunday against Central Arkansas at 10 a.m. and Houston Christian at 2 p.m.
