Loveland, Ohio – The Eastern Kentucky University beach volleyball team opened its 2024 spring season Friday with wins over Liberty State University and Morehead State University on the first day of the Grand Sands Tournament.

The Colonels (2-0) started the day with a dominant 5-0 victory over the Flames, not allowing a set through five games to count.

EKU followed up a strong opening game with a 4-1 victory over in-state foe Morehead State.
