The second round of the high school basketball playoffs has begun.
More teams in the Athens area are coming to the end of their seasons. Girls from Oconee County, Jefferson, Commerce and Athens Academy all hit the wall, and Christian boys from Oglethorpe County and Athens also dropped out.
That leaves five teams still competing for the 2024 state championship. Here's a look at the local programs still in existence and his GHSA quarterfinal opponents next week.
