Texas and Louisiana face rare 'high risk' flooding threat
In recent weeks, unrelenting storms have dumped massive amounts of rain on parts of Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Now, the same region has been hit by heavy rain again since Thursday. Forecasters at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Weather Prediction Center put the area from eastern Texas to western Louisiana under threat of rare flooding at a “high risk” rating of 4 out of 4 and a “nightmare.” This scenario was named “Scenario''.

Hurricane Headquarters: Chance of development increases in Eastern Pacific
Wednesday marked the official start of the Eastern Pacific hurricane season, and forecasters were already tracking potential threats. A low pressure system in southern Mexico is expected to develop soon, with a 40% chance of becoming a tropical cyclone within a week.
