First Star: Luke Dickerson, Morris Knolls-Hills
Dickerson's magical state run continues as the No. 6 Golden Eagles defeat No. 1 seed Tenafly-Cresskill Leonia 6-2, scoring a hat trick and clinching the Public Co-op North Regional title. Ta. Throughout the state tournament at Knolls Hills, Dickerson scored his 13 goals and scored 15 points.
2 stars: Northern Highlands Topline
The Highlanders' top line of Brent Beswick, Vincenzo Capano and Jake Baratta totaled seven goals and 14 points in an 8-3 victory over Randolph to win the Public North Division title. Capano led the way with four goals and six points, while Beswick also had a hat trick of six points. Baratta also had four assists, three of which came during the second period, when the Highlanders gave up points for the Rams.
Third star: Christian Esposito, Manalapan
Esposito recorded a 35-save shutout and led Manalapan to a 1-0 victory over Westfield in the Public South Division championship game. Esposito faced 15 shots in the third period alone, but was able to stop all of them, sending the Braves to their first-ever state championship game.
