Green scored the Cardinals' (4-4-1 overall, 1-2-0 NESCAC) first goal of the night, putting them ahead just 5 1/2 minutes into the game.Green, found holding the puck at the blue line for the Efs (5-3-1 overall, 4-1-0 NESCAC) Sam DeLeo '25 slipped out above the left faceoff circle before DeLeo passed it back to Green, who fired a low-center shot to Efs goaltender Erin Pye.
The Effs responded quickly and rallied with a goal two minutes after the Cardinals' early lead.Christina Halloran scored and Chloe Noxon hit the Cardinals goaltender with the first shot. The Cardinals will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 6, and will once again face Williams in Game 2 of the weekend series starting at 2 p.m.
