Cambridge, Massachusetts – With the 2024-25 season rapidly approaching, the Harvard University women’s ice hockey program has announced its upcoming schedule. The 29-game schedule includes 13 home games at Brightland Hockey Center and eight exciting non-conference matchups, including two games in the 2025 Women’s Beanpot Tournament.
The Crimson's season is scheduled to open against the University of Connecticut in a non-conference game on Saturday, Oct. 19. The regional rivals will take to the ice at Bright Landry Hockey Center, resuming their rivalry for the first time since 2014-15.
Harvard's ECAC schedule will begin with a trip to Union and RPI (October 25-26), before the team returns home to play consecutive ECAC series at the Bright Landry Hockey Center against Yale and Brown (November 1-2) and Princeton and Quinnipiac (November 8-9). After trips to Colgate and Cornell (November 15-16), Harvard will face off against regional rivals again in a home-and-home series against Providence on November 21-22. After a week off for the Thanksgiving holiday, the team will complete the first half of its schedule with a trip up North to face St. Lawrence and Clarkson (December 6-7).
The Crimson's second half begins with a home-and-away series against Dartmouth College (Jan. 3-4) followed by a trip to Orono, Maine to take on the University of Maine (Jan. 10-11). The 2025 Women's Beanpot Tournament will open with a semifinal at Boston University on Tuesday, Jan. 14, when Harvard will face the Terriers. In between Beanpot matches, the Crimson will host RPI and Union (Jan. 17-18) at the Bright Landry Hockey Center. The Beanpot will return to TD Garden for the second consecutive year with a consolation match and championship game on Jan. 21 on Boston Bruins home ice.
Colgate and Cornell will come to Brighton to face the Crimson on Jan. 24 and 25 before the teams head out on a four-game road trip. Harvard will travel to Quinnipiac and Princeton (Jan. 31-Feb. 1), then Brown and Yale (Feb. 7-8). The final weekend of the season will see Harvard take on Clarkson and St. Lawrence on its home rink on Feb. 14 and 15. The ECAC Tournament will begin with the first round on Feb. 22, followed by a quarterfinal series from Feb. 28-March 2. The ECAC Tournament semifinals and finals will be played on March 7 and 8, determining the league's automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament.
