Hamden, Connecticut โ Quinnipiac Women's Ice Hockey Program and Head Coach Cassandra Turner announced its leadership group for the 2024-25 season, which was presented to the team at its annual end-of-season banquet this spring.
Kendall Cooper Serving as team captain Maddie Samoskevich and Sophie Urban He will be an assistant captain next season.
“I'm proud to announce this season's leadership group,” Turner said. “These three have demonstrated leadership abilities in our program and I'm excited to see what they accomplish this season.”
Kendall Cooper – captain
Cooper returns for his fifth season with the Bobcats, appearing in 121 games on the defensive line and being named to the All-ECAC team the past two seasons. Cooper produced the best performances of his career last season, tying career highs in goals and assists and finishing third on the Bobcats in points with 33.
Maddie Samoskevich – First Mate
Samoskevich also returns to Hamden for her fifth year and 130 games of experience. The graduate student defender has 62 points from the blue line in her career and was fourth on the team in assists last season. Samoskevich is the younger sister of former Bobcat captain Melissa Samoskevich (Class of '19).
Sophie Urban – First Mate
Urban is also in his fifth season in a Bobcat uniform, having played in 128 games, and last season he recorded a career-high 12 points with a goal and an assist, including one goal and one assist in the ECAC playoff opener against Harvard.
