Eastern University is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join the women's basketball coaching staff as a full-time assistant coach. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about basketball and committed to the development and success of student-athletes on and off the court.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Academic Supervision: Monitor and support student-athletes' academic progress to ensure they meet academic eligibility requirements and achieve their educational goals.
- Team Manager: She will help manage all aspects of the women's basketball program, including practice sessions, game strategy and overall team discipline.
- Manager Coordination: Supervise team managers to ensure they are effectively supporting the needs of the team and coaching staff.
- Scouting and Recruiting: Identify and evaluate potential new recruits, participate in scouting events and assist with the recruiting process to build a competitive team.
- Player Development: Develop and implement training programs to improve individual and team performance with an emphasis on skill development, conditioning and overall player growth.
- administrative task: Assists in organizing and executing team travel, equipment management, and other administrative tasks as required.
- Community Service: Assist with community service and team building activities to promote the women's basketball program and foster positive relationships within the community.
Eligibility:
- Basketball coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
- A strong understanding of the game, including strategies, rules and regulations.
- Collegiate playing experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Committed to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
