PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's hockey team will travel to Boston University on Friday, March 1 for the quarterfinal round of the 2024 Hockey East Tournament. Puck drop is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Conte Forum. The Flyers will enter the tournament as the No. 5 seed and the Eagles as the No. 4 seed.

The Friars are currently 13-16-5 and 12-10-5 in Hockey East play. Providence defeated the Merrimack Warriors last weekend. On Friday, February 23rd, the Friars won 4-1, and on February 24th they won a shutout 3-0.

Hockey East Preseason Poll
The Flyers were ranked third in the Hockey East preseason poll released on Tuesday, September 12th. With 74 points, the Friars finished behind Northeastern University (88 points) and the University of Vermont (75 points). The Huskies, who won the 2023 Hockey East Tournament, received eight first-place votes.

The six new students are Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wisconsin), chiara craft (Churchville, New York), Peyton Blaney (Milgrove, Ontario), dylan berman (Deepfaven, MN), taylor gilmore (Napanee, Ontario) Taya Curry (Park Hill, Ontario) and Avery Callison (Acton, Massachusetts).

Audrey Knapp As announced on October 23, he was named the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week after scoring three goals in two games.
Knapp scored the only goal and game-winning point against Brown University on November 27, earning him Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week honors.
Reichen Kirchmeer (Oakville, Ont.) was named the Hockey East's No. 1 player on Dec. 11 after scoring four points against New Hampshire on Dec. 8 and scoring the Friars' only goal against Boston College on Dec. 9. He won the outstanding player award.
brook becker (Orchard Park, New York) and won the Hockey East Most Valuable Player Award. January 15th, as he scored two goals on Saturday, January 13th. Becker's second goal on Saturday sent Providence into overtime against Vermont State, winning 4-3.
Lindsey Bochna (Toronto, Ontario) scored 11 points in eight games for the Friars in January and was named Hockey East Player of the Month.
lily hendrickson (Edina, Minn.) was named Hockey East ROTC Defender of the Week on Feb. 26 after recording a goal on Friday and two assists on Saturday.
Knapp was selected to the Hockey East Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team.Knapp ranks third in total points for the Friars with 13 goals and four assists.
