Burlington, Vermont – The University of Vermont women's hockey program announced its recruits on Friday who will join the Cat Mounts for the 2024-25 season. The recruits are made up of three first-year students and five transfer students. Four of the freshman athletes are forwards, three defensemen and one goalkeeper.

#13 Maisy Bojalski | Fr. | Forward | Appleton, Wisconsin | Naha White
He has been a part of the NAHA program the past three seasons and recorded 27 goals, 26 assists and 53 points for the NAHA White team in the 2023-24 season.
#15 Josie Hemp | RS-Fr. | Defense | Chanhassen, Minnesota | Minnesota (WCHA)
He did not play in a game for the Golden Gophers in 2023-24, but scored 39 points in 29 games at Minnetonka High School in 2022-23 and was named All-Conference and was named honorable mention to the All-State team.
#16 Maia Lawrence | Grade 1 | Forward | Calgary, Alberta | Shawinigan Lake School
Last season with the CSSHL U18s she had 16 goals and 23 assists for 39 total points…Shawinigan advanced to the Western Championship but lost in the final…During the 2022-23 season she has 17 points in 30 games.
#20 Kayla Bent | Group | Defense | Halifax, Nova Scotia | New Hampshire (HEA)
Appeared in 128 games over four seasons at UNH and never missed a game…Recorded six goals and 19 assists for 25 total points in her career with the Wildcats…Last season, she was sixth in Hockey East in blocked shots with 60…Blocked a career-high five shots against Vermont in the 2024 Hockey East quarterfinals.
#30 Jane Gervais | RS-Sr. | Goaltender | Valcourt, Quebec | Wisconsin (WCHA)
He has appeared in 36 career games with the Badgers, compiling a 24-5 record with a 1.55 goals-against percentage and a .923 save percentage…He has eight career shutouts, six of which came last season…Two-time WCHA Goaltender of the Week…Was on the national Goalie of the Year shortlist last season…Member of Wisconsin State's 2023 National Championship team.
#44 Grace Nehls | Gr. | Forward | St. Ann's, Ontario | Mercyhurst (AHA)
Appeared in 114 games at Mercyhurst University, recording 13 goals and 12 assists for 25 points…The Lakers won at least 20 games in every full season (non-COVID-19 season) that Neres played…Played for Canada at the 2020 IIHF Women's U-18 World Championship.
#51 Oona Havana | Fr. | Transfer | Turku, Finland | Kerpet (Nysten Liga)
In five seasons with Karlpet in the Nijsten Liiga, she recorded 47 goals and 32 assists for a total of 79 points…At the Finland U18 in 2022, she scored in Finland’s first ever win against Canada at the U18 level…Finland won the bronze medal at the event and she was named one of the top three players on the Finnish team…In 2023, she made her senior national team debut at the World Championships for Finland, appearing in all seven matches.
#91 Ashley Kokabek | Sophomore | Defenseman | Parkland, FL | Maine (HEA)
Last season, he appeared in 31 games for the Black Bears, recording five goals and six assists for 11 points in total…He scored Maine's first game-winning goal on Oct. 6 against Stonehill…He blocked 27 shots and was a +10 for Maine last season.
