Weeks of early morning tailgating, traffic jams and crowded bars await Iowa City during the 2024-25 Iowa football season.
Starting Tuesday, returning University of Iowa students will be able to secure a seat in the stands by purchasing season tickets for upcoming games.
Fans can watch the Hawkeyes take on the Cyclones as part of the Cyhawk Series or show off their Iowa pride with a celebration prior to the annual Homecoming Game.
Here are the dates that students and non-students alike will want to know about tickets to Hawkeyes football games.
When will 2024 Iowa State football tickets go on sale?
Existing season ticket holders had until March 31 to renew their seats. New season ticket packages now available.
Returning University of Iowa students will be able to purchase season tickets starting April 23rd. Per Iowa Athletics Ticket Office policy, student sales will only take place online or in-person. The UI Athletics Ticket Office is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. New students can purchase tickets starting June 11th.
Other dates for ticket sales, according to UI Athletics, are:
- May 6: Fight for Iowa mobile passes go on sale.
- June 3-6: The Mini Football Plan, known as the Gold or Black Plan, is launched.
- July 8: Group tickets and Hawkeye Village tickets begin to be sold.
- July 15th: One game ticket sold to donors
- July 18th: 1 game tickets on sale to the general public

What is the 2024 Iowa State football schedule?
The Iowa Hawkeyes' 2024-25 football schedule begins on August 31st. The Hawkeyes will face Illinois State just one day after FRYfest, an annual celebration held in Coralville in honor of beloved Iowa football head coach Hayden Frye.
The schedule continues as follows:
- September 7: Iowa vs. Iowa State
- September 14: Iowa vs. Troy
- September 21: Iowa, Minnesota
- October 5: Ohio State, Iowa
- October 12: Iowa vs. Washington
- October 19: Iowa State, Michigan State University
- October 26: Iowa vs. Northwestern
- November 2: Iowa vs. Wisconsin
- November 9: UCLA, Iowa
- November 23: Iowa State, Maryland
- November 29: Iowa vs. Nebraska

How much do 2024 Iowa State football season tickets cost?
Season tickets for 2024 range from $355 to $450, according to the university's online ticket office. Some seats require a donation to the I-Club.
The Fight for Iowa Pass includes tickets to all seven home games for $325.
Single-game ticket prices vary from game to game, according to the university's online ticket office.
- August 31: Adults $52-$72, Under 18s $27-$42.
- September 7: All tickets range from $137 to $157
- September 14: Adults $79-$112, Under 18s $27-$42.
- October 12: All tickets range from $137 to $157
- October 26: Adults $72-92, Under 18s $37-62.
- Nov. 2: Adults $97-117, Under 18s $42-87.
- Nov. 29: Adults $72-92, Under 18s $37-62.
