Boehmer had a great goal for the regional champions.
She saved all 11 shots on goal for the Hilltoppers.
“I felt comfortable in my environment,” Bohmer said. “It's all about reading the shots. I'm very happy to win my first district championship. It was very important to me. We put in a lot of hard work leading up to the season.”
Lily Habach and Jen Gritis both had solid shots on goal for the Hilltoppers, but Bomar made the save.
“We had some good shots on goal, but we just didn't have enough quality shots,” Glenbard West coach Adam Cishko said. “We didn't put enough shots on goal. We saw it on film. They (Wheaton North) had two great counter attacks in the first half and Rodgers had a special goal in the second half. We always want to win in the district tournament, so this is the game.'' It's a disappointing loss. ”
