West Indies batsman Devon Thomas has been banned for five years by the International Cricket Council for match-fixing.
The ICC said Thomas, 34, had admitted “seven breaches of the anti-corruption regulations of Sri Lanka Cricket, the Emirates Cricket Board and the Caribbean Premier League”.
These violations relate to attempts to modify the outcome of games and obstructing investigations by concealing, tampering with, or destroying evidence.

Thomas' suspension was retroactive to May 23 of last year, when he received a provisional suspension. His last 18 months of the ban will be suspended.
ICC General Manager Alex Marshall said: “This ban is appropriate and should send a strong message to players and corrupt actors that any attempt to corrupt our sport will be dealt with firmly.” Ta.
Four of the violations relate to the 2021 Lanka Premier League matches to be held in Sri Lanka. Two cases relate to Caribbean Premier League matches from that year and one to his T10 Cricket League match in the United Arab Emirates. 2021.
