So far, the UNC basketball staff has been linked with several names in the transfer portal without any commitments. Names like Omar Baro, Aaron Bradshaw, and Danny Wolf considered the Tar Heels before committing to serve elsewhere. But that didn't stop UNC head coach Hubert Davis from trying to refill the roster spot for the 2024-25 season.

on monday, CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein Dayton transfer Coby Blair has revealed that he has communicated that he is considering a group of five schools, including UNC.
UNC isn't the only blueblood program on Blair's list, but also includes excellent programs in Kansas State, Kentucky, UW and UNC's biggest rival, Duke, eight miles away. The 6-foot-6 guard has reportedly completed Zoom meetings with all five programs and plans to begin scheduling visits within the next few days.
Blair played four seasons at Dayton before entering the transfer portal, has one year of eligibility remaining, and led all of college basketball in 3-point percentage last season. The former Flyer made 100 of his 201 attempts from beyond the arc, posting a nearly 50% clip all year.
Atlantic 10 Tournament champion Coby Blair averaged 11.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 33 games while primarily playing off the bench.
The 21-year-old's move could be a much-needed piece for the Tar Heels as it returns Elliott Caddo to the backcourt, but he could play a big role depending on the decisions of star guard RJ Davis.
UNC Basketball lost three starters from last year's team and has yet to officially welcome any transfers. They are currently seen as the top candidates for Belmont transfer Cade Tyson, and they received a Crystal Ball prediction for the Tar Heels from 247Sports over the weekend.
