When it comes to the history of North Carolina's basketball program, there are few that can match it. UNC has appeared in the national championship game at least once every 10 years since the first NCAA Tournament in 1939. No other program comes close to this. And when it comes to the Associated Press rankings, the Tar Heels are in a class by themselves as the numbers show. (tar heel illustration)
