The University of Connecticut men's ice hockey team announced its 34-game schedule for the 2024-25 season on Friday. The regular-season schedule includes 16 home games, 12 games at the on-campus Toscano Ice Forum and four games at the XL Center in Hartford.
UConn will open the season with two games against Colgate at Toscano Ice Forum on Oct. 5 and 6, then begin a home-and-home series against Holy Cross in Storrs on Oct. 11 before traveling to Worcester, Mass., the following day.
The Huskies then begin a 24-game Hockey East schedule, starting with a match against Boston College on Oct. 18, followed by a trip to the University of Massachusetts on Oct. 25 and a return home to host the Minutemen on Oct. 26. The University of Connecticut will host two games against the University of Vermont, first at the XL Center on Nov. 2 and then at Toscano on Nov. 3. A home-and-home series with Merrimack College begins on the road on Nov. 8 and returns to Storrs on Nov. 9. The first semester ends with a home game against Boston College in Storrs on Nov. 15, followed by two away games at the University of Massachusetts Lowell on Nov. 22 and 23 and a trip to Chestnut Hill for Boston College on Dec. 4.
UConn will kick off the second half of the season by competing in the Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off tournament on Dec. 28 and 29 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which will feature Wisconsin, Ferris State University and the University of Alaska. Those matchups will be determined at a later date. The Huskies will then kick off the new year with a non-conference game with a visit to Harvard University on Jan. 4 before returning to Hockey East action with a home-and-home game against the University of New Hampshire on Jan. 10 and 11.
The fifth annual CT Ice Tournament (Jan. 24-25), hosted by Sacred Heart University and featuring Quinnipiac and Yale universities, follows a two-game trip to Maine (Jan. 17-18).
The Huskies will close out January on the road with a home-and-home series against Providence (Jan. 31 and Feb. 1), then play at home against UMass (Feb. 7) and UMass Lowell (Feb. 8) before concluding a non-conference schedule against Alaska Anchorage (Feb. 12).
UConn will round out the remaining schedule with Hockey East action, playing one game each against the University of Maine (Feb. 21) and Boston College (Feb. 25) before taking on Northeastern University (Feb. 28) in its final home game of the regular season. The Huskies will close out the season with road games against Northeastern University (March 1) and the University of Vermont (March 6).
The game time has yet to be announced.
