Hamden, Connecticut โ The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team has revealed its non-conference schedule for the 2024-25 season, as announced by its head coach. Cassandra Turner Then they'll face the Bobcats on Tuesday afternoon.
There will be 13 non-conference games, four of which will be at home in Hamden, while the Bobcats will play nine on the road.
Before the regular season begins, QU will make a quick trip to Storrs, Connecticut for an exhibition game against UConn on Sept. 21.
The Bobcats will open the season on the road at Maine on September 27 and 28. Quinnipiac has a record of 7-0, 1 draw in the past 8 meetings between these two teams. Quinnipiac will continue on the road and take on Northeastern University on October 4 and 5 in Boston, Massachusetts. Since 2001, they have a record of 5-9, 2 draws and 5 wins against the Huskies.
The Bobcats will host Providence for their home opener on Oct. 8 before traveling to Providence to complete a home-and-home series on Dec. 15. Since 2022, QU has won three of the last four meetings between these teams.
Turner's team will host Syracuse University for a back-to-back game at home on Oct. 18 and 19. This will be the first meeting between the two teams since the Bobcats won 4-0 in the first round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament. Quinnipiac will then travel to play one game at LIU on Nov. 12. Quinnipiac is 6-0 against LIU since 2021 and has a 32-1 record.
The Nutmeg Classic will be hosted by Sacred Heart at Martia Family Arena in Fairfield, Conn. on Nov. 29 and 30. The Bobcats will face Sacred Heart in the first game on Nov. 29 and then face either Yale or UConn in the second game.
The Bobcats will close out their non-conference schedule with one more matchup at home against Sacred Heart on Dec. 3. QU is 16-0 against Sacred Heart since 2002 and has allowed just seven total runs in those games.
