Nominations are being sought for the second class of Tribune-Democrat High School Football Hall of Fame inductees.
The Hall annually recognizes players, coaches, referees and contributors within the media company's coverage area. Organizers say the hall of fame captures and preserves the rich heritage and traditions of local soccer.
This November, coach Fred Galiote, contributor Wilfred “Buddy” Nicholson, official Ray Levernight, and players Casey Gallaher and Ryan Henry were among the first inductees to be invited into the Hall. was a member of
Individuals who have made significant contributions from Tribune-Democrat schools in Bedford, Cambria, Indiana, Somerset and Westmoreland counties will be nominated to the Hall of Fame located in the Tribune-Democrat lobby. can be done.
The player must be excluded from national team play for five years.
Coaches must retire for five consecutive years before being nominated.
Umpires must have worked in the area for at least 10 years.
Written recommendations must not exceed 300 words.

Nominations will be accepted until July 1st. Previous nominations are kept on file and do not need to be submitted again.
A 10-person committee will vote on the Hall of Fame nominees.
The first class enrolled between the girls and boys games of the Santa Fund Soccer Classic in November.
This year's All-Star contest will be held on November 21st at Greater Johnstown High School's Trojan Stadium.The women's game is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. and the men's game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
