Oklahoma State's roster looks different a few weeks after Steve Lutz takes over.
The offseason was defined by coaching changes, with OSU having a number of key contributors leave Stillwater. Despite losing last season's leading scorer and several high-scoring freshmen, the Cowboys are in a good position thanks to new transfers.
Oklahoma State University Transfer Portal Additions:
Marcellus Avery (UCF)
Avery, who has a season of experience in the Big 12, joins the Cowboys after appearing in 31 games with the Knights last season, averaging 7.6 points and four rebounds.
Khalil Brantley (La Salle)
Brantley was La Salle's leading scorer last season, averaging 15 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.5 steals. Starting nearly every game the past two seasons, Brantley gives OSU a prolific scoring guard.
Davonte Davis (Arkansas)
After playing a key role for four seasons at Arkansas, Davis brings an elite perimeter defense to Stillwater. He earned a spot on the SEC's All-Defensive team in 2022-23 and also averaged a career-high 10.9 points.
Arturo Dean (FIU)
Dean, who was the NCAA's steals leader last season, could be a key addition to the Cowboys' defense as a lead guard. He averaged 13.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3.4 steals last season.
Robert Jennings (Texas Tech University)
Jennings, a 6-foot-7 forward, will bring some size to the Cowboys' frontcourt next season. He averaged 4.4 points and 3.3 rebounds in 12.3 minutes last season as a sophomore.
Brandon Newman (Western Kentucky)
Already accustomed to Lutz's system, Newman could give OSU some scoring punch on the wing. Last season, Newman averaged 10.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals.
Abu Usman (Xavier)
Usman, who could be OSU's starting center next season, brings additional size to Stillwater. He averaged 6.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in his only season with Xavier.
