East Union's Jai Aquino and Ripon Christian's Preston Zuiderbard will join Estandarte on the small-school South team coached by St. Mary's Joe Wortman and River City's Rob Wortman on Saturday. The small-school game begins at 1 p.m., with the large-school game following at 3 p.m.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students, and free for children under 5. Cash and Venmo payments accepted. There are no discounts available at the event.
The All-SJS team was organized by a panel of 33 coaches from the section. A total of 13 made the first team and 19 were selected for honorable mention.
Faali'i was the only player from the region to be named to the first team. He led Russop to a 25-6 record, a Western Athletic Conference championship and an appearance in the SJS Division III semifinals. The outside hitter was one of the section's top offensive players, recording 427 kills (4.8 per set) and 62 aces.
Estandarte and junior middle hitter Owen Altadonna, also of Timberwolf, were named honorable mentions, along with senior middle Aidan Patton of Manteca and sophomore outside hitter Mason Tammeling of Ripon Christian.
Grayson Albers was named SJS Player of the Year and Gabe Gardner was named Coach of the Year as they led Rio Americano (34-5) to appearances in the SJS Division II and California Junior and Senior High School Association Division II North Regional Championships.
