Northfield, Vermont – The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) recently announced the Clampde Scholastic All-Americans for the 2023-24 school year. Thirteen student-athletes from the Norwich men's and women's ice hockey teams were recognized for their academic achievement by maintaining a 3.75 GPA each semester and playing in 40 percent of the team's games, with exceptions for injuries and backup goaltenders.
Of the 453 women who have earned this honor, 10 represent the maroon and gold, including: Taylor Girouard (Burlington, Massachusetts) Amie Headland (Nottingham, UK) Gillian Jackson (Fredericton, New Brunswick) Grace Jocelyn (Hooksett, New Hampshire), Allie LaGoo (Barre, Vermont); Marja Linzbichler (Graz, Austria) Emma Morrell (Tournon, France) Wilda Orman (Luleå, Sweden) Merian Reynolds (Sherbrooke, Quebec) and Lauren Tuzik (Frankfort, Illinois).
On the boys side, the Corps of Cadets had three 550 award winners. Holden Doggett (Oakville, Ontario) Hayden Heinrich (Richmond Hill, Ontario) and Owen Haynes (Lebanon, Pennsylvania).
Combined, the two hockey programs had 31 representatives named to the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) All-Academic Team, six named to the College Sports Communicator (CSC) Academic All-District Team and had 14 players named to the President’s Award List during the spring semester.
