UCLA women's basketball has produced five honorees on the Pac-12 Conference's 2024 Winter Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the conference administration on April 26.
Senior Professor Emily Besoir, a double major in communication and psychology, received this award for the third consecutive time.
Four sophomores earned this honor in their first opportunity to be on the list.
Kristin Iwaura, a labor studies major, was recognized as a UCLA Bruin in her final season. She announced her transfer to Ole Miss on April 30th.
Gabriela Jaquez, who is officially a dual-sport athlete for the Bruins since being added to the softball team's roster for the postseason, is studying sociology and earned academic honors.
Kiki Rice and Lina Sontag were also recognized for their academic achievements. Rice is majoring in communications and Sontag is studying public health.
The 2024 Winter Academic Honor Roll includes 404 student-athletes who participated in conference-sponsored men's and women's basketball, women's gymnastics, men's and women's swimming, diving, and wrestling. Any student-athlete who is on their respective team's roster, has a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher, and has served at her facility for at least one year is eligible for this honor.
