Long before he arrived on campus in Ann Arbor, Michigan rookie center Garrett Szyvsky knew all about playing on the big stage as a member of Andover's two teams in the Minnesota State Tournament. His adjustments for the college game include placing the Wolverines' top line between two of the biggest names in Big Ten hockey.
And Szyvsky was able to make three trips to his home state this year, where his Maize and Blue teams won once at St. Cloud State and twice at Minnesota, earning a berth in the Big Ten Tournament title game with the second win. obtained the right. This weekend they will face their biggest rival, Michigan State University.
Mick and Jess discussed all things hockey with Szyvsky, including several former college players signing their first professional contracts, as well as the rest of the league.
