Auburn football's annual spring game is over. Now, we'll have to wait another four months until Auburn officially begins the 2024 season by hosting Alabama A&M on Aug. 31 at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze feels there's still a lot to take care of before the season officially begins, but he's grateful for the A-Day crowd and hopes to see more during spring practice. He said he was satisfied with how well the coaches prepared the players.
Freeze said after the game, “I'm happy with the crowd and I just love the fans.” “We know we have a long road ahead and a lot of things to clear up. We certainly won't go into this stadium as flat as we felt at first, but we're happy with what we've got this spring.” I have a lot of confidence in the coaches. I thought they've prepared really hard for every practice, and all we were allowed to be with the kids in the spring. I made the most of my time.”
