Sierra's boys tennis team defeated visiting Lathrop 6-3 on Thursday, improving to 2-0 in nonleague play.
The Timberwolves won all three doubles matches.
In No. 1 doubles, Sid Godendran and Alex Ray Rosario won 6-0, 6-3. Ryan Alves and Zayn Ali won 6-1, 6-1 for second place. The No. 3 tandem of Ashun Gil and Gershawn Sandhu won 6-1, 6-4.
Brady Alves finished No. 1 in singles at 6-1, 6-2. Sierra also swept fifth and sixth, with Oliver Naben (6-3, 6-0) and Santiago Franco (6-0, 6-3) earning team points.
Lathrop struggled to win at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, but needed the third set to win. Eli Pokhreh defeated No. 4 Hasnain Ali 1-6, 7-5, 11-9. Sierra's David Martin lost Game 3 4-6, 6-4, 9-11. Lathrop also won the second singles match in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4.

Sierra 136, Manteca 29
The visiting Timberwolves finished first in every race held at the R. Stephen Winter Pool. This game was the first game of the Valley Oak League season for both teams.
Keira Brink (50 free, 100 free) and Jennifer Graves (100 fly, 500 free) were Sierra's double winners. Bianca Fraser (1st, 200 IM, 2nd 100 fly), Gianna Ramos (1st, 100 back, 2nd IM 200) and Amy Fadev (1st, 100 breast, 2nd 50 free) were also top point contributors. It became. Lauren Ellis won the 100 free.
Sierra also won the 200 medley, 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay.

Andres Barajas (200 IM, 200 breast), Peter Espinoza (200 free, 100 free) and Snowden Snyder (100 fly, 200 back) each won multiple individual events for Manteca. Brandon Nakam also won the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay.
Noah Sandoval (50 free) becomes Sierra's only first place finish.

Anthony Gomez scored the first 10 points of the nonleague game to lead the host Indians to victory (1-1). They won 25-20, 25-16, 25-12.
Gomez ended up with a total of 17 service points, eight of which were service points. He also had 10 kills in 17 attacks. Alex Alvarez also had 10 kills on 17 attempts, and Trent Olmo added five kills.
Cade Fulmer and Martin Raigosa shared setting duties and had 15 and 10 assists, respectively. Marquel Marshall led the defense with 15 digs.

Ripon 2, Grace Davis 0
Ripon swept the contest 25-19, 25-13.
Josiah Afreje paced the Indians with 10 assists, 11 service points and five aces. Andres Garcia scored 13 points, four of which were aces.
Gavin Garner anchored the front row attack with seven kills. Jacob Dood recorded his 17 digs. Brody Trask contributed six assists.
