NCAA Division III Tournament – First Round

Lydia Bullock scored the game-winning goal in overtime off a feed from Abba Romano, and the Continentals defeated the Golden Flyers in the first round of the Big Dance, winning for the second straight year. Ali Joseph scored Hamilton's other goal in the first period and Teagan Brown made 29 saves in the win.
The Continentals advance to the NCAA Division III quarterfinals, where they will also face Adrian for the second year in a row (Hamilton defeated Adrian 2-0 in last season's quarterfinals).Puck drop at Michigan State will take place Saturday at 3 p.m.
women's basketball
Tyashia McMillan scored 21 points and Alexa Brody added 18 points, and the Raiders closed out the regular season with the largest margin of victory in program history on Senior Night against a conference opponent.
The win placed Colgate in second place in the Patriot League heading into the conference tournament, the program's highest ranking since taking first place in the 2003-04 season en route to the Patriot League title.
men's basketball
Herkimer University has earned the No. 3 seed in the upcoming NJCAA Division III men's basketball tournament, it was revealed during Wednesday's selection show. The tournament is scheduled to be held from March 13th to 16th.
The Generals will receive a bye and will await the winner of the first-round game between Minnesota North College and Rainy River against Joliet in the quarterfinals on March 14th.
women's basketball
Hamilton avenged last year's Section III Class D semifinal loss to West Canada Valley in this year's Section III Class C final last Friday, defeating the previously undefeated Nighthawks 55-50. Ta.
The section champion Emerald Knights advance to the NYSPHSAA Class C regional final and will take on Section IV's Moravia at 2 p.m. Saturday at SRC Arena on the OCC campus.
