Spring break will be a little different this year for Rutgers women's soccer. The Scarlet Knights will be in Europe until March 17th, visiting England and Scotland. After a day of sightseeing, the evenings are filled with matches against various professional organizations.
The first stop will be London, where Rutgers will watch Premier League and Champions League matches between Arsenal and Chelsea. Landmarks they visit include Abbey Road Crossing, the London Eye and the River Thames. Rutgers will also experience a training session with Chelsea's coaching staff before heading to Manchester for a tour of the Etihad Stadium.
Rutgers' European trip will then move to Scotland, where they will watch Edinburgh and Rangers FC. Before returning to the United States, the Scarlet Knights will travel to Glasgow for a Scottish Premier League match.

It's been a busy nine days, but head coach Mike O'Neal won't take this trip for granted.
“We look forward to immersing ourselves in European culture, competing on the international stage, experiencing live competition, and adding depth to the relationships within our program,” O'Neal told Rutgers Athletics. “As a coaching staff, we are very lucky to be surrounded by such great people and we are really excited to be part of making memories in England and Scotland.”
