Udine, Italy (AP) — Roma defender Evan Ndicka collapsed in the final minutes of a Serie A game against Udinese on Sunday, and his teammates visited him in hospital after the game was called off.
Ndicka is being kept under observation and was admitted to the hospital under code yellow, which is an emergency but not as urgent as code red.
Rome has been published photograph X (formerly Twitter) posted a photo of Ndicka sitting in a hospital bed, arms flexed and smiling. He's probably showing off his power.
The newspaper said the team visited the 24-year-old Ivorian international in hospital before returning to Rome, adding: “Evan is feeling better and is doing well.” He will remain at the hospital for further observation. ”
The score was 1-1 for Udine, but in the 71st minute Ndicka fell to the ground with action at the other end of the field and began pointing to his chest.
