Mountain Ridge 2, Lehi 0
No. 14 Mountain Ridge advanced to the second round of the 6A boys soccer playoffs with a 2-0 win over No. 19 Lehi. Marcos Paredes and Alan Dedic each scored a goal for the Sentinels, with assists from Gabriel de la Barra, Owen Gaisford and Anthony Campos. Mountain Ridge goaltender Anthony Campos kept a clean sheet as the Sentinels' defense held Lehi scoreless throughout the game.
Layton 2, Westlake 1
In the first round of the 6A boys soccer playoffs, No. 16 Layton made a second-half comeback to defeat No. 17 Westlake, 2-1. With the Thunder leading 1-0 going into halftime, Devon Soares scored Westlake's only goal on an assist from Jameson Hoopes. But Leighton fought back in the second half with goals from Kyle Lemberg and Crew Hawley, and Gage Young added an assist as the Lancers rallied for the win and a berth in the second round.
Corner Canyon 1, Copper Hills 0
In a close first round matchup of the 6A boys soccer playoffs, No. 15 Corner Canyon defeated No. 18 Copper Hills 1-0. Will Bradley scored the only goal of the game with seven minutes remaining, assisted by Miles McMullin. With the Chargers' defense holding strong, Corner Canyon goaltender Taron Sutherland earned a shutout victory and advanced to the second round.

Kearns 2, Spanish Fork 0
In the first round of the 5A boys soccer playoffs, No. 16 Kearns earned a 2-0 shutout victory over No. 17 Spanish Fork. Gavino Rodriguez and Alejandro Carlos Barragan each scored a goal for the Cougars, and Rodriguez and Max Contreras had assists in the win. Kearns goaltender Leonel Calvillo Perez kept a clean sheet and the Cougars' defense held strong throughout the game to advance to the second round.
Olympus 3, West 2
Asher Gubler's golden goal in overtime and a wicked half-volley with an assist from Brigham Marburger gave 13th-ranked Olympus a thrilling 3-2 win over 20th-ranked West in the first round of the 5A boys soccer playoffs. He achieved victory. Kardon Neff and Talmage Gilbert also scored for the Titans, and Jameson Turpin and Paul Proctor had assists. Edgar Jauregui of the Panthers scored with an assist from Joel Alarcon.
Maple Mountain 5, Cedar Valley 1
In the first round of the 5A playoffs, No. 14 Maple Mountain defeated No. 19 Cedar Valley, 5-1. Jace Pollock led the Golden Eagles with two goals and one assist, and Corbin Gardner also had two goals in the win. For Maple Mountain, Vitor Tobias added a goal and Carter Egbert contributed an assist.
Bonneville 3, Skyline 2
In the first round of the 5A boys soccer playoffs, No. 15 Bonneville held off a late surge from No. 18 Skyline and won 3-2. Jordan Aidenbogard, Colby Stone and Ashton Duran each scored for the Lakers, and Luke Wilcoxen, Sam Richards and Denyn Anderson contributed to the win with assists. Gabe Cortez Infante and Alex Horton found the back of the net for the Eagles in the second half.
West Jordan 2, TImpview 2 (West Jordan wins PKS 4-3)
After a 2-2 tie, No. 23 West Jordan defeated No. 10 Timpview 4-3 in a dramatic shootout in the first round of the 5A boys soccer playoffs. Jesse Alesha and Cooper Reed, who converted penalty kicks in the second half, gave the Jaguars points in regulation, while Kobe Lerma and Jude Box scored for the Thunderbirds. The game was tied after regulation and two overtimes, but went to penalties, with West Jordan winning.
Woods Cross 1, Beaumont 0
Zach Despain's goal in the 50th minute, assisted by Adrian Gennette, gave No. 22 Woods Cross a 1-0 upset victory over No. 11 Beaumont in the first round of the 5A playoffs. Ta. The Wildcats' defense remained solid throughout the game, with Brayden Lloyd keeping a clean sheet in goal, securing a shutout and advancing to the second round.
Bountiful 3, Cyprus 2
Bountiful, ranked No. 9 in the world, advanced to the second round of the 5A boys soccer playoffs with a hard-fought 3-2 overtime victory over No. 24 Cyprus. All three of the RedHawks' goals came from the penalty spot, with Thomas Thorne, Elias Pacheco and Cody Forbes each scoring. Edwin Hernandez and Marcos Ortiz scored for the Pirates, and Ortiz also contributed an assist, but it wasn't enough, and Bountiful's composure from the spot made the difference in the overtime victory.
4A playoffs
Tuele 3, Orem 1
In the 4A boys soccer playoffs, No. 16 Tuele defeated No. 17 Orem 3-1 to advance to the second round. The Buffaloes and Tigers were tied 1-1 at halftime on goals from Tuele's Boston Valdez and Orem's Cody Anderson. In the second half, Tuele pulled away with goals from Ethan Rodgers and Mavrik Clarson, and an assist from Carter Clayton sealed the victory.
Snow Canyon 4, Stansbury 1
No. 9 Snow Canyon defeated No. 24 Stansbury 4-1 in the first round of the 4A boys soccer playoffs. Adam Parkhurst, Reggie McKay and Joshua Jensen each had a goal and an assist for the Warriors, with Liam Land adding another goal. Stansbury's Hayden Morgan scored the Stallions' only goal, but it wasn't enough to overcome Snow Canyon's offensive power as the Warriors advanced to the second round.
Mountain Crest 3, Cedar City 2
Dalton Crystal scored the winning goal with eight seconds left in the second overtime period to lead No. 13 Mountain Crest to a thrilling 3-2 victory over No. 20 Cedar City in the first round of the 4A boys soccer playoffs. . Mason Palmer scored both goals for the Reds, but it wasn't enough as the Mustangs won a double overtime contest to advance to the second round.
Hillcrest 3, Bear River 0
In the 4A boys soccer playoffs, No. 12 Hillcrest advanced to the second round with a commanding 3-0 victory over No. 21 Bear River. Gideon Kirby, Colin Scarborough and Lucas Felix each scored for the Huskies, while Felix, Jesus Khalil-Secota, Joses Meza and Irvin Garcia also contributed assists in the win. Hillcrest's defense stayed strong throughout the game, keeping the Bears off the scoreboard and earning the shutout.
Mountain View 3, Timpanogos 1
Calvin Floyd's two goals led No. 18 Mountain View to a 3-1 come-from-behind victory over No. 15 Timpanogos in the first round of the 4A boys soccer playoffs. Floyd's teammate Isaac Roberts added a goal and an assist, helping the Bruins build a lead that Timpanogos was unable to break, despite a second-half goal.
Uintah 3, Park City 1
In the 4A boys soccer playoffs, No. 11 Uintah defeated No. 22 Park City 3-1 to advance to the second round. Karen Thomas, Paul Starko and Christian Candelas each had a goal for the Utes, Jaire Perry had two assists and Jagger Morton added one assist in the win. Nicola Jansen scored the Miners' only goal in the second half.
Provo 3, Jordan 1
In the 4A boys soccer playoffs, No. 14 Provo advanced to the second round with a 3-1 victory over No. 19 Jordan. Cade Jolly, Saxon Gutsman and Rayleigh Gutierrez each scored a goal for the Bulldogs, and Javi Ruiz had three assists. Jason Benitez scored the Beat Diggers' only goal in the second half, but it wasn't enough to overturn Provo's lead.
Cottonwood 2, Skyview 2 (Cottonwood won on penalties 4-1)
In the first round of the 4A boys soccer playoffs, No. 23 Cottonwood defeated No. 10 Skyview in a thrilling shootout victory. Craig Stephenson and Parker Evans each scored a goal for the Colts, with Evans also contributing an assist, while Jaycee Hoyt and Ezra Hawes scored for the Bobcats. The game was tied 2-2 after regulation and two overtimes, but went to penalties, where Cottonwood defeated Skyview 4-1 to seal the upset.
