The Maryland Public Secondary School Athletic Association announced the basketball playoff brackets Friday, with regional quarterfinals scheduled to begin Tuesday for boys and Wednesday for girls.
Fourteen teams from Washington County are scheduled to compete. Here are their seeds and matchups:

1A Western Region I: On Tuesday, No. 6 Hancock travels to play No. 3 Southern Garrett, while No. 7 Clear Spring takes on No. 2 Allegany on the road.
The winners of these two games will meet in the semifinals on Thursday.
1A Western Region II: No. 1 Smithsburg, a two-time district champion, received a first-round bye and will host either No. 4 Catoctin or No. 5 Brunswick in Thursday's semifinals.
No. 6 Boonsboro travels to play No. 3 South Carroll on Tuesday, with the winner advancing to play No. 2 Liberty.
2A Western Region I: No. 3 Williamsport, which received a bye in the first round, will play No. 2 Middletown in Thursday's semifinals. The winner will face No. 1 Walkersville, No. 4 Winters Mill or No. 5 Francis Scott Key in the final.

3A West Region I: No. 2 North Hagerstown hosts No. 7 Takarora on Tuesday, with the winner facing either No. 3 Oakdale or No. 6 Westminster on Thursday.
On Tuesday, No. 5 South Hagerstown will play No. 4 Linganois, while No. 1 Manchester Valley awaits the winner.
