While there may not be a Pitt Panther selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, there will likely be a few more who will hear their names called this weekend in Detroit, Michigan.
Last year, six players were selected by the Pitt Panthers, including Kaliyah Kanshi, who was selected in the first round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While there won't be as many Panthers selected this year, it's very likely that a few more names will be added to the historic list.
Pitt ranks just within the top 20 all-time in NFL draft picks.
Pitt is tied with the University of Wisconsin for the 19th most NFL draft picks (297) in college football history. Only Miami has more in the ACC.
And over the past three drafts, Pitt has had 14 picks, ranking 10th in all of college football (1st in the ACC).
