MAYVILLE — The Thompson girls basketball team will earn a No. 1 seed into the North Dakota Division B state girls basketball tournament this weekend in Minot.
The Tommies remain undefeated despite a buzzer-beating win in the region championship against Devils Lake.
In the first season of the state's three-class basketball system, the Tommies, who lost the Class B state title in overtime a year ago, remain a strong contender in the Central District against many teams with higher enrollment. It's a team.
