MONROE — Four different Mustangs scored and Terrell Wood made six saves in the PCM soccer team's 4-3 nonconference home win over Boone on Tuesday.
The Mustangs and Treadors were tied at 1-all at halftime, but the host team scored three goals in the second half to narrowly win.
PCM improved to 4-0 when scoring three or more goals in a match, but went 0-8 when scoring one or fewer goals.
Remington Frye scored his first career goal and Justin Johnston added an assist on Senior Night. Wood, Alias Nolin, Jacob Elrod, Wyatt Schuette, Hewitt Breinger and Josh Wing were also selected for Senior Night.
Dominic Witt, Jackson Straight and Leighton McClure added goals for the Mustangs, who improved to 4-9 on the season. PCM took 17 shots, with 13 on goal.
Dylan Bolton had two goals for Boone (3-10) and Ben Seligman had 14 saves.
PCM 3, Albia 2
In Monday's nonconference home game, Straight scored his first career hat trick as the Mustangs led 1-0 at halftime and defeated the Blue Demons 3-2.
His three straight goals were a team best five this season. Witt and McClure both had one assist.
Wood made seven saves. PCM had 23 shots, with 20 on target.
Albia (6-6) won five straight against PCM from 2011 to 2016, but both teams have taken turns winning the eight meetings since 2016.
Des Moines Christian 6, PCM 1
On Friday, a hat trick from Grant Dunn led Des Moines Christian to a 6-1 road victory over PCM. The Lions took an early lead by scoring four points in the first half, then scored two more goals in the second half to put the Mustangs away.
PCM scored one goal in the final 40 minutes, but it was too little too late while the team lost non-conference.
Des Moines Christian (7-7) also had two goals from Olson Carstensen. Dunn's three goals brought his total for the season to 14. The Lions have won six of their past seven games after starting 1-6.
