Last night, Paley boys volleyball lost 4-1 to Saratoga High School on Senior Night.
Despite the loss, the Vikings came together as a team and took the court with a new goal of giving their seniors a memorable experience. After a tough season, the Vikings wanted to send off their seniors with a game filled with spirit and energy.
During the game, the crowd filled the court with echoing cheers and unwavering support for the Vikings. Although it was a difficult match against Saratoga High School, the top team in the league, the Vikings overcame the situation by demonstrating teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the game.
“Senior Night is a way to end the season, it's the end of an era, and it's almost emotional because you don't know if you're going to continue playing in college,” Cal Currier ('24) said.
The team won points from the middle block and had a great moment of celebration.
One of the standout moments of the game was when the Vikings secured a point from the middle block, and the entire team and fans cheered in celebration.
“The spirit from the fans helped keep the team's energy and communication going,” said Cal Currier (24 minutes).
Looking ahead to their next match against Los Gatos High School, the boys volleyball team is feeling confident after such a high-octane game. They hope to maintain the same crowd energy and team communication going forward.
