Redistricting has resulted in several changes to Owasso's football schedule this season, announced Thursday.
The Rams will add Sand Springs as a non-district opponent, replacing Broken Arrow, which is currently in the Owasso district.
Owasso will visit Sand Springs, coached by former Rams defensive coordinator Bobby Klink, on Sept. 13 for its final non-district game. Owasso's new head coach, Antonio Graham, was on Klink's defensive staff but was promoted to DC in 2020 when Klink transferred to Sand Springs.
The Rams will host Broken Arrow in their district opener on Sept. 27 and visit Union on Oct. 4. In recent years, Owasso has faced Union in its district opener.
For the third year in a row, Owasso will open the season against defending Class 6 AI state champion Bixby in a home game at a location to be determined at the Battle of the Barbs on Aug. 30. The Rams then visit Jenks on Sept. 6.

Owasso's final two games of the regular season will be at home against Edmond Santa Fe on Nov. 1 and against Yukon on Nov. 8.
The Rams finished 9-3 last year, losing to Bixby in the semifinals.
Home kickoff time will remain at 7:30 p.m. this season.
This year, the season will be postponed by one week to Labor Day weekend, as the OSSAA recalibrates its sports calendar every five or six years.
