BOWIE, Md. — Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of summer, with many public pools and swim clubs in Prince George's County opening for the season.
If you want to cool off with a dip in the pool, do it here. Always double check the time before heading out. Some are private and require membership.

Allentown Splash, Tennis & Fitness Park – Allentown Splash, Tennis & Fitness Park has everything you need to have fun, including a basketball court, tennis court, fitness room, pool, and picnic area.
Bel Air Baths and Tennis – Founded in 1963 on the historic grounds of the Bel Air Mansion, Bel Air Baths and Tennis is Bowie's private swimming and tennis club.

Fairland Sports and Aquatics Complex – Experience all the amenities Fairland Sports and Aquatics Complex has to offer. The complex offers swimming, gymnastics, tennis, and track and field fitness classes for youth and adults.
Glen Dale Splash Park – Glen Dale Splash Park has great aquatic facilities including water slides and an outdoor pool.
Hamilton Splash Park – Located in Hyattsville, Hamilton Splash Park is a children's splash park with an aqua climbing wall, wading pool, water slides, waterfalls, and a regular-sized pool.
J. Franklin Vaughn Memorial Pool – In honor of Judge Vaughn, this memorial pool is equipped for fun for both children and adults. This facility is dedicated to the memory of his junior professor emeritus, James Franklin Bourne. Judge Vaughn was one of the first judges of the George County District Court, District 5, and the first African American judge to serve in that court.
Lane Manor Splash Park – Located in Hyattsville, Lane Manor Splash Park has a variety of pool amenities, including a kiddie pool, waterfall, waterslide, and regular pool with lap lanes.
Moyaone Association Pool – Located within Piscataway National Park, Moyaone Preserve offers a private pool for members only.
North Burnaby Splash Park – Have fun at North Burnaby Splash Park in Oxon Hill. Splash park with aqua climbing wall, waterfall and waterslide.
Oxon Hill Recreation Center – This Olympic-sized inground pool provides a peaceful respite on hot days.
Pointer Ridge Swim & Racquet – Open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Facilities include his 3 pools with a 6 lane 25 meter lap pool, a family pool and fenced baby pool, 4 tennis courts and beach volleyball. There are courts, playgrounds, horseshoe pits, barbecue grills, bonfire pits, and multiple party areas.
Prince George's Pool – Prince George's Swimming Pool is a member-owned backyard pool in Mount Rainier that looks like a second home.
Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex – The aquatic center at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex includes a 50-meter indoor pool as well as a leisure pool with a lazy river and water slides.
Rollingcrest Chillum Splash Pool – Located in Chillum, the Rollingcrest Chillum Splash Pool features a fun indoor splash park for kids, as well as a spa area and a pool with lap lanes.
Southern Area Aquatics & Recreation Complex – Enjoy panoramic views of the forest area while swimming in the 6-lane pool. The 25-yard, six-lane pool offers a balanced mix of fitness, competition, and instructional aquatic programs. The Natatorium is open all year round and features a leisure pool, a fun flume slide to a plunge pool, and a spa.
Southern Regional Aquatic Wellness Center – The Southern Regional Aquatic Wellness Center features a four-lane lap pool and a heated pool maintained at over 92 degrees. Each pool has a gentle entry ramp and is accessible for underwater wheelchairs and walkers.
Teresa Banks Memorial Aquatics Center – Teresa Banks Memorial Aquatics Center is part of the Glenarden complex, which features an indoor pool, spa area, and lovely outdoor patio.
Whitehall Pool and Tennis Club – This club includes a 3-foot swimming area with a slide, a 6-lane 25-meter swimming area, a diving area with two diving boards, a baby pool, yoga, a playground, a pickleball court, Tennis court volleyball available. courts, basketball court, horseshoe pit, ping pong table, restaurant.
