This occurred near Elephant Rock Campground, where rescuers rushed to the lake after receiving reports of a person submerged and missing. It is now known that the person had been swimming in the lake.
A 28-year-old Lone Grove man drowned while swimming in Lake Murray, according to the Ohio Department of Health.
Officers noticed the victim was not wearing a flotation device.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Jordan Gladfelter, of Lone Grove, was swimming to Elephant Rock Campground when he began to struggle and then went underwater just before 5:40 p.m. Monday and is still missing.
