On March 17th, Notre Dame's football recruiting efforts picked up considerably. On this day, known in and around South Bend as “Pot of Gold Day,” the Fighting Irish had a moment of great fortune. Some of that good fortune came in the form of his 19th commit in the 2025 class.
Jerome Bettis Jr. joins. He could be joined by one of the better players in the 2026 class in the near future. That's because Notre Dame is the leader in the clubhouse for 2026 quarterback Brady Hart, according to at least one analyst.
247Sports announced that Steve Wiltfong has officially entered Hart's crystal ball and will land in South Bend once the smoke clears. Naturally, if Marcus Freeman and his guys can pull it off, it would be a huge recruiting win.
Hart, who is coming off a successful sophomore season, is already 6-foot-4 and has strong shoulders to match his beautiful frame. He's also someone whose stock will only rise as his class gets more recruiting.
Brady Hart has already made it clear that he's committed to Notre Dame football. When he first received the offer. Now it's up to the Fighting Irish to make sure the deal gets done.
Earlier this winter, Hart talked about how exciting the recruiting process was for him. Especially since there are a lot of big schools coming here.
“Recruiting has been picking up recently,” he told Irish Breakdown. “Recently, I've received offers from schools like Notre Dame, Arkansas, UNC, and Penn State. I'm very excited. ” he said.
Despite offers from some of the best schools in the country, Notre Dame football appears to be in the driver's seat. C.J. Carr was brought to South Bend in the 2024 class, and Brady Hart will be an addition starting in 2026, as Deuce Knight remains committed to the 2025 cycle.
