how did it happen
- Quinn scored the first goal just 9:04 into the game. Lane forced a turnover in the neutral zone thanks to a great backcheck. He then got to the blueline and sourced the puck to his left to Celebrini, who funneled it to Quinn for the goal.
- The trio combined for another power-play goal with 1:41 to go to open the scoring. When Green won the offensive zone faceoff, Celebrini quickly slid the puck from the circle into the lane at the right point. Then, finding his younger brother at the top of the left circle, Quinn made no mistake and scored his 15th goal of the year.
- Vermont took advantage of a big penalty at 5:52 of the second period to pull one back, but Zabane answered with a short-handed goal just 47 seconds later. Green and Zabane played keepaways in the offensive zone to kill time from penalty kicks. Eventually, Green dropped the puck and Zabane took a shot, beating Axel Mambo (33 saves).
- BU scored two goals in a span of 39 seconds in the third period to tie the game. Celebrini opened the match with a 4-on-3 goal at 12:50, and a nifty backhand from Harvey made it 5-1.
- Quinn completed his hat trick with a wrist shot from the left circle during another Terriers power play with 6.6 seconds left in regulation.
