New season, new podcast with Northern Colorado football coach Ed Lamb

A new podcast from Northern Colorado football coach Ed Lamb, who will soon be entering his second season with the Bears, debuted in early February.

Lamb hosts the Football 52 pod with KFKA Radio sports host Brady Hull. Hull is also the general manager of KFKA 103.1 FM and 1310 AM. His “The Hal Show” airs weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The podcast will be recorded on Tuesday morning and released on the same day. These are available now from The Hull Show webpage at 1310kfka.com, Apple and Spotify.

Hull said the podcast was born out of a breakfast conversation. The men talked about life, fatherhood, football and more. From there, Hal and Ram decided that a long weekly chat might be fun.

Lamb came up with the name for the podcast “Football 52,'' meaning the men talk weekly.

In a KFKA news release, the station said the podcast is intended to give fans a look at what UNC football needs to turn its program around.

UNC went 0-11 in 2023, Lamb's first year on the job, and the program overall is 43-144 with only two winning seasons in 17 years at the Division I level.

“This podcast is valuable to me in many ways,” Lamb said in a news release. “It gives us the opportunity to share an inside look at the program, document his rise to football and chronicle his journey to UNC, with thoughtful conversations with Brady behind the scenes.”
