Reno, Nevada – nevada volleyball casey hogan has been selected to join the Volleyball Australian Limited national team, separate from the Australian Volleyballs, to compete in the AVC Challenge Cup to be held from May 22 to May 29 at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila, Philippines.
The event will serve as a qualifying tournament for the 2024 FIVB Volleyball Challenger Cup, with the event's eventual champion securing a spot in July of this year. The winner of the FIVB Challenger Cup will be given the opportunity to advance to the 2025 Volleyball His Nations League.
Australia's women's team was grouped in Pool A of the AVC Challenge Cup, along with Chinese Taipei, India and Iran, along with the tournament hosts.
Originally from Proserpine, Australia, Hogan graduated from Proserpine State High School and was selected in the Queensland Pirates Australian Volleyball Super League team for the Australian Open Age Championships in 2019. She also represented the Canberra Heat from 2022 to 2023. Although Hogan didn't make a big splash in her freshman season at Nevada, she will be a key outside hitter for the Pack in 2024-25.
