Reno, Nevada – As announced at Thursday's conference, Nevada Volleyball announced its 2024 Mountain West schedule.
Head coach Shannon Hunt said, “We are eager to compete next season.” “Our schedule is going to be very tough and we have a lot of work to do, but I'm excited to see how our team stacks up against this very talented team!”
This season will be the first under coach Hunt, who will be joined by new assistant coach Jason Sterrett and assistant coach Nolen Iosia, who returns from the 2023 staff.
The Pack's 2024 conference campaign will feature nine home games and nine away games, with Nevada playing every Mountain West team except Fresno State and San Jose State twice. The conference schedule begins with a two-day homestand against Wyoming on Thursday, September 26th and Colorado State on Saturday, September 28th.
Nevada then travels south to face UNLV in a Silver State Series contest hosted by America First Credit Union on Thursday, October 3rd, followed by San Diego State University on Saturday, October 5th. Participate in the match against. The team is scheduled to return home for three straight games at the University of Virginia. Street Gym, held on Thursdays, Saturdays and Tuesdays. Thursday's game is against Air Force, Saturday's game is against New Mexico and Tuesday's game vs. Utah State will conclude the three-day series.
The next five contests include three road games and two games in Reno. On back-to-back Thursdays, the Pack first travels to Boise State on Oct. 17 and then faces Fresno State on Oct. 24. Nevada returns home Saturday, Oct. 26, to take on San Jose State, then travels to Logan to take on Utah State on Oct. 29. On Saturday, Nov. 2, Boise State will host the Pack to round out those five games.
Nevada will alternate its final six games with two away and two home games, with the top six teams in the conference standings advancing to the Mountain West Championship, scheduled for Nov. 27-30 in Las Vegas. Before ending the season on the road. .
On Thursday, Nov. 7, the team will take on New Mexico State in Albuquerque before heading to Colorado for its return game at Air Force. The Pack's final two scheduled home games are against San Diego State on Thursday, Nov. 14, followed by the final game of the Silver State series against UNLV on Saturday, Nov. 16. The Wolfpack will play Colorado State on Thursday to close out the season. Nov. 21 and Wyoming on Saturday, Nov. 23.
