Nebraska volleyball player Harper Murray has been charged with shoplifting from a SEAL company, according to a Facebook post and corresponding incident report from the Lincoln Police Department.
Murray is accused of stealing a ring valued at $70 from SEALs. Murray's name is not listed in the LPD incident report at this time. However, a widely shared Facebook post described the incident using a photo that appears to be of Murray from security camera footage.
Nebraska Athletics released a statement: “We are aware of reports of an incident Thursday night and are gathering additional information.” “We had previously determined that Harper would be suspended for Saturday's spring game. Any further discipline will be handled internally. We have no further comment at this time.”
A Facebook post with a photo accuses Mr Murray of: This is Harper Murray, a volleyball star from the Northeast. She shoplifted a ring valued at $70 from Lincoln Shields last night and later purchased merchandise valued at $350. After peeling off the tag, she hid it directly below the camera in her pants pocket. When she gets in her car, we see her wearing her ring. ”

The post also included the LPD incident report number. The report number included matches a report detailing his five rings (valued at $12.99 each) stolen from a SEAL company.
Murray, 19, was also charged last month with driving under the influence, reckless driving, interfering with a peace officer, underage possession and possession of false identification. Her blood alcohol level was .169, twice the legal limit, according to the Lincoln Police Department.
Murray, a native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, had a dominant performance in his debut at Nebraska, earning him Big Ten Rookie of the Year honors. She also earned All-America Third Team honors for her efforts.
Nebraska's spring game will be played Saturday in Kearney. Murray won't play.
