KEARNEY โ Nebraska outside hitter Lindsey Krause, injured at the end of last season, showed he was ready to compete again during the Huskers' spring game.
Krause was explosive and efficient in the match against Denver, posting a game-high 12 kills and hitting .417.
Nebraska earned an impressive 25-13, 25-12, 25-15 victory in front of a crowd of 5,094 at the UNK Health and Sports Center.
Fans lined up hours before the game to secure seats as close to each other as possible with general admission seating.
Nebraska's starting lineup was setter Bergen Riley. outside hitters Krause and Skylar Pierce; Right-side hitter Merritt Beeson. middle blockers Rebecca Arick and Andy Jackson; and libero Lexi Rodriguez.
In the third set, senior Kennedy Orr took over as setter, and sophomore Laney Choboy took over as libero.

Nebraska finished the game with an astonishing batting average of .446. The Huskers also had an ace serve to take a 4-1 lead.
Beason hit .412 and added 10 kills. Jackson had seven kills and hit .429.
Pierce, a top-10 national recruit from Lenexa, Kansas, had 10 kills. She was particularly impressive with several cross-court shots from tight angles.
By the middle of the first set, Nebraska was already leading 11-4 and was in the game. Jackson got a kill with an explosive sliding attack, Olivia Mauck had an ace and Beason exploded with a back-row kill, but Denver had no chance to stop it.
Nebraska hit .478 in the first set and took a 4-0 lead with an ace.
Nebraska outside hitter Harper Murray did not participate. She was suspended last month after being charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, interfering with a security officer, underage possession and possessing false identification.
Additionally, Murray is accused of shoplifting from a SEAL in Lincoln this week, according to a Facebook post and a corresponding Lincoln Police Department incident report.
