In addition to QB Matt Zollers and defensive tackle Jason Dewell, four-star linebacker Dante McClellan from Canton, Ohio, announced his commitment to Mizzou tonight.
McClellan chose Mizzou over Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan State and Louisville.
It was another recruiting win for the program, as Mizzou beat out several high-profile Power Five schools for McClellan's services.
McClellan is a top-25 linebacker in the nation, according to Rivals, and On3 ranks him the top linebacker in the state of Ohio. '
In his junior season at McKinley High School, McClellan was a defensive player with 75 tackles, 4 sacks, 14 TFLs, 1 interception, and 1 forced fumble.
McClellan earned all-league and district first-team honors last season on a McKinley High School team that finished first in the conference and 24th in the Ohio rankings.
